Heat and Rock
Artist's Drive at Death Valley came highly recommended for an evening drive, and the first welcoming canvas was painted by the Artist's Palette. I could not decide between a version of this picture that shows the heat, or another that shows the mutiple rock layers of the mountain, so you have both of them.
